Hawaii Day 10: Dole Plantation and Wahiawa Botanical Garden

My mom or someone in my family ended up getting free tickets to the tram ride at the Dole Planntation, which sone of you may remember General and I visited before on our circle island tour. That time, we didn’t have time to to the pineapple express or the maze. The pineapple express took us through some of the fields, showing us what kind of crops they grow and old machinery they used to use. My mom and aunties used to work in the pineapple fields, and that’s actually how my grandmother and grandfather met, their families came to the island to work on the plantations. After that we went to the Wahiawa Botanical Gardens, where I also had gone a lot as a little girl on my trips to Oahu. We went to the Mililani Shopping Center so I could find a Hawaiian souvenir dog toy for Zulu, ate at Zippy’s (Portuguese sausage omelette), then headed back to the condo to enjoy the rest of our day relaxing.
